I am a big believe of using models where appropriate and I often use the ADDIE model. I have spoken about the first step in the Design Thinking Model, ideally before emphasising with the learner and understanding their need, the business objective should be identified and analysed.
If I don’t fully understand the objective of a learning solution then it becomes difficult for me to design the best experience. This involves more questions! I am known for asking questions, quite often the questions that are difficult to answer and on occasion people don’t like the answer!
