It is well known that, Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs held walking meetings and others, such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, see the benefit walking can have in generating ideas.
Research discovered that walking didn’t benefit focused thinking required for single, correct answers. However, it did highlight that walking positively effected creative brainstorming. So, if you are looking to get a fresh perspective on something or a new idea – go for a walk.
Walking opens up the free flow of ideas, and it is a simple and robust solution to the goals of increasing creativity.
