Hi, I’m Niki, and I love helping people create great video with their smartphone.

My journey

After graduating with a BA in TV & Film Design, I worked on independent short and feature films across the UK. I discovered my passion for training while managing a busy multiplex cinema. Since then, I’ve designed and delivered learning programs across multiple sectors.

I now run smartphone video training through Focus ’n Develop, helping people build skills in video production. Alongside this, I work as a Learning Specialist at the BBC and am currently completing an MA in Digital Technologies in Education & Communication. I like to keep busy – can you tell?

How I work

My approach is practical and built around real-world use. I use the VIDEO Framework to help people plan, film, and edit videos with confidence. Whether you’re creating content for your business, your team, or your students, I’ll show you how to make it work using the tools you already have.

Why smartphone video?

I’ve always loved storytelling through video. For years, I thought I needed the ‘right equipment’, then I started using the camera I already had in my pocket. That changed everything.

I don’t just teach this, I live it. All my videos are filmed on my smartphone. Follow my adventures and watch the smartphone techniques I teach come to life.
